Reviewing the April Look Fantastic Box – Part 1

Hello all!

From my last post I talked about my first impressions of April’s Look Fantastic Beauty Box which I had recently signed up for. I have began trying some of the products and wanted to share my thoughts with you.

So, a recap of the products in April’s box. I received Dr Botanicals Vegan Bergamont and Poppy Seed Soap, Nip and Fab Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Wipes, Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment, Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm, PUR Fully Charged Mascara and Nuxe Crème Fraiche de Beauté moisturiser.

The first product I was eager to try was the Vegan soap. The scent was bold as soon as I opened the box and smelt refreshing. The soap feels nice to wash over your skin and the poppy seeds were good to exfoliate. After rinsing the soap left its refreshing scent on my skin which I loved! I’m not usually someone to use bars of soaps as they tend to dry out your skin but this was a great product to test out. I highly recommend this product to anyone who is vegan and into products with natural ingredients however the cost I found out was rather expensive. For one bar of soap the price is £19.90!! I’m not so sure whether this soap is worth such a high price but perhaps people are willing to pay that price for a vegan product.

I absolutely love the Nip and Fab Cleansing Wipes. I already use these daily and find them so easy to use and they make my face glow! What I love the most about these is they aren’t like your usual exfoliator which tends to be liquid form that you apply to your face then rinse. These are just small round wipes that you wipe across your face and then you’re done! They’re also perfect and easy to take on the go.

I’ve tried a variety of cleansing products and when I saw the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm I was very much looking forward to testing it and I was certainly not disappointed. As I applied this product to my face it felt very therapeutic. Being an oily product it ran smoothly across my face and was very easy to apply. After I rinsed it off my skin felt amazing. I love that first feeling when you remove a cleansing product, your skin always looks and feels radiant and this product was certainly no different. The one downfall to this products was it wasn’t good for my oily skin. Throughout the day my nose and forehead was more oily. Sorry to disappoint but for those with oily skin I don’t recommend this product but I highly recommend for dry skin types as I’m sure it would work perfectly for hydrating the skin.
